Hope Cafe

Hope Cafe

Hope Café is a new project at Cityteam. Each Saturday night, our dinnertime outreach to the homeless and hungry members in our community will take new form by providing…

…an outstanding, personal dining experience: An upgrade from the routine nightly meal we serve at Cityteam, where our guests can experience café-style service with good food.
…purposeful partner roles: Community and church group team members have specific, dedicated roles for the evening, from preparing food and cleanup to serving and eating with Cityteam guests. This empowers our partners with increased ownership and a meaningful ministry experience.
…appealing music and teaching: We are designing a tailored, guest-focused worship service that is audience-appropriate and has a consistent approach. Together, we will provide excellent music interwoven with teaching about God that is biblically based and can be applied to daily life. Our end goal is to offer a “home church” experience for those who are seeking spiritual growth and are looking for a place where they can feel they belong.

Who can help?

Hope Café is for volunteer teams of 15 to 30 people looking to make a difference. Cityteam will provide training and job descriptions to your leader prior to your scheduled service date.

What Will I Be Doing?

· Volunteering as servers, food runners, host/hostess, dishwashers and bus persons

· Attend and/or participate in worship service (optional*)

· Our vision is that partnering groups will provide all of the food for the evening. Hope Café is an opportunity to provide an enhanced dining experience for our guests, and our partners can make that possible. Of course, we understand that not every group has the capacity to do this, so we are offering two options:

o Purchase, donate and prepare the evening meal and bring to Cityteam

o Cityteam provides food, your team serves (donations accepted)

How can I get involved?

Hope Café volunteering is on Saturdays from 3:00pm-8:00pm
