BRV Grow Classes are designed to help you grow in spiritual maturity in 3 key ways: being rooted in God, responding to the Holy Spirit, and bearing Christlike Fruit (through our character, actions, relationships and thinking). GROW TERM SERIES: 4 CONVERSATIONS ABOUT PARENTING
Tuesdays 1/7-1/28 6-7:45pm with Amy Carnall
Join us on Tuesdays at BRV for a series of discussions about parenting and discipleship. Topics include the following:
1/7: parenting for connection: developing relationship throughout the ages and stages of child development;
1/14: parenting in a tech-focused world: perspectives from college-aged young adults;
1/21: parenting in the digital age of pornography: cultivating open conversation with your children on a hard topic
1/28: prayerfully parenting your children: developing a habit of intentional prayer for and with your children.
You are welcome to come to one or all of the classes, they are 4 separate conversations.
DISCOVERING LEADERSHIP
Tuesdays 1/7-1/28 6:30-8pm with Jesse Bean, Amy Ross and Jared Tindall at First Church of Media’s sanctuary (Methodist church, corner of Lemon and State)
Discovering leadership class will equip new and emerging leaders* across ministries at BRV to understand and grow in servant leadership. Topics will include kingdom theology, gathering and recruiting, training/multiplying your leaders, the heart and character of a leader, and Holy Spirit led ministry time and more. (*required recommendation of ministry coordinator or pastor)
SHAPE
Wednesdays 1/8-2/5 7-9pm with Kathy Maskell
If you’ve ever wondered about what God’s purpose for your life is, then the SHAPE class is for you. Understand who God made you to be by exploring your spiritual gifts, heart motivations, personality, talents, and experiences. Here is what people are saying about the SHAPE class:

DALLAS WILLARD AND THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT
Saturdays 1/4-2/1 9-10:30am with Mark Tindall, Brady Shuert, Brian Kotenko and Rich Kroll
The students and teachers of this class will generate 100 hearty questions and sermon content for Mark’s sermons for January on Jesus’ most renown and misunderstood teaching. We’ll be guided by Dallas Willard’s masterpiece, The Divine Conspiracy.
THE GOSPEL OF MARK FOR BIBLE LOVERS AND BIBLE BEGINNERS
Saturdays 1/4-2/1 10:30am-12pm with Rob Perrone
The Gospel of Mark has a unique theology and certain emphases that flow with consistency from passage to passage. Bible beginners and Bible lovers will both learn how to understand a book of the Bible, and specifically Mark, as a whole.

“TALKING ABOUT PEACE” WORKSHOP
Tuesday 2/4 6:30-8pm with Amy Ross
Join us to learn about restorative justice circles. We will use this guided conversation framework to listen to each other about areas of conflict in our lives. As Paul teaches in Ephesians chapter 2, Jesus brings peace to the places that divide us and empowers to do the work of peace as we follow him. (Childcare RSVP required)
