Volunteers Covid Policy

Volunteers Covid Policy

Volunteers,
Let’s start by saying the BRV staff is so incredibly grateful for the ways that you have faithfully served our church, particularly during the uncertainty and hardship of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is an honor to serve our church alongside you. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues and the virus changes, we are updating health and safety guidelines in an attempt to best protect our church congregation and our broader community. Our updated guidelines are as follows:

Possible symptoms or a positive COVID-19 test result:
If you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (runny nose, sneezing, cough, headache, sore throat, fatigue, any fever), you should remain home, regardless of COVID test results, until symptoms resolve, or 10 days have passed.

Known exposure to COVID-19:
We also ask that all volunteers follow the CDC quarantine guidelines when exposed to COVID-19. Please note that quarantine guidelines differ for individuals who are not up to date on all COVID vaccinations. More details are available here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html.

If your role in the weekend service requires you to participate without wearing a mask:
If your participation in the service requires you to remove your mask, we will provide a rapid antigen COVID-19 test for you to take when you arrive to BRV on Sunday morning. If the test is positive, you will not participate in the service. The exception to this guideline is in the case of recent COVID-19 infection. If you have recently recovered (10 days post-infection) from COVID-19, you will not be required to produce a negative test before participating.

Why are we putting these guidelines in place?
Following these guidelines will not only help to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community, but will also help to prevent transmission of other prevalent viruses that are present in this season and can be very dangerous for some.
